Young Leicester City prospect Jak McCourt has agreed a one-year extension to his contract with the Club, keeping him at King Power Stadium until June 2015.
The 18-year-old midfielder signed his first professional deal with the Foxes last summer, as a graduate of the Club's highly successful Academy.A regular in Steve Beaglehole's Under-21 Development squad, Jak enjoyed a successful spell on loan with League 2 side Torquay United during the first half of the 2013/14 season, making 12 appearances before returning to the City setup in January.
An industrious midfield player, known as a set-piece specialist, McCourt has also been part of the last two City squads to compete at the Hong Kong Soccer Sevens, lifting the Plate title in the Happy Valley last month after winning the main Cup competition in 2013.
