- Benalouane insists City must now alter their objectives to secure a place in the top half with a sequences of positive results
Yohan Benalouane says he is loving life in a Leicester City shirt as he prepares for the final away match of the season against Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
The 30-year-old centre-back had to wait to make his full Premier League debut for the Foxes, a 3-2 win at West Ham United back in March, and he has excelled alongside Robert Huth at the heart of defence in recent weeks.
A 3-0 success over Watford at King Power Stadium last weekend confirmed the Club’s top flight status meaning City can now focus solely on cementing their place in the top half of the league table with three games to play.
After Saturday’s clash in Manchester, home fixtures against high-flying Tottenham Hotspur and Eddie Howe's AFC Bournemouth await Craig Shakespeare's men before they break up for the summer later this month.
Benalouane, previewing the trip to Etihad Stadium with LCFC TV on Thursday morning, said: “We have to be confident because we are in a good moment. When you play one game, you have to play your best.
"After, if you lose or if you win, it is the same but you have to give your best and believe in yourself. For me and team, all the matches we play, we have to try and win something. It was a massive three points against Watford.
In life and in football you always have to do something more.

"It was a very good game because we’re now safe and that was the objective for the team. Now the objective is done so we have to think about the next game and about doing something more.

The French-born Tunisian defender expects Pep Guardiola’s men, who currently occupy a UEFA Champions League play-off berth, to pose a considerable threat to City's recent record on Saturday.
But, if they can execute their game plan effectively, Benalouane remains optimistic that Leicester can secure a 13th win of the season, a result which could propel them up to eighth place in the Premier League standings.
He added: “Guardiola teams have a lot of shape and quality. In this moment, we have to focus on the Leicester team. If you want to make something good, you have to not think about the other team.
"We are thinking about the shape of Leicester and trying to make something good for ourselves.”
