Hopper Extends Scunthorpe Loan

Leicester City have extended the loan of forward Tom Hopper to Scunthorpe United until the end of the 2014/15 season.

The Foxes Academy graduate, 21, has been in excellent form since joining the League 1 club earlier this month, scoring four goals in four appearances for the Iron, including a brace in their weekend win at Leyton Orient.
A Lincolnshire native, Hopper was born in nearby Boston and, after joining Leicester, signed his first professional contract in 2011. He signed a new two-year deal with the Club in May 2014.
The extension of Tom’s loan comes at a busy time for Mark Robins’ men, who face a busy run of eight games in less than four weeks as they look to climb the League 1 table. The Iron have won two and drawn one of the four league games Tom has featured in so far, distancing themselves from the battle near the foot of the table.
They host Oldham Athletic on Saturday before a trip to Coventry City next Tuesday.
