Leicester City defender Paul Konchesky has today (Tuesday) joined Queens Park Rangers on a season-long loan.

The Barking-born full-back, who is entering the final year of his current contract with the Foxes, joins Rangers to begin a fifth spell in London, having previously played for Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Charlton Athletic during an impressive career.

Since joining Leicester from Liverpool in the summer of 2011, Konchesky, 34, has played 155 times for City, contributing significantly to the Foxes’ re-establishment in the Barclays Premier League.

He featured 34 times in the Club’s promotion-winning 2013/14 campaign and a further 29 times during our first top flight season in 10 years last term. Konchesky joins a QPR squad looking to bounce back from relegation to the Championship under the guidance of Chris Ramsey.

The R’s kick off the campaign with a trip to Paul’s former club Charlton on Saturday.
