Premier League Champions, Leicester City, Unveil 2016/17 Home Kit

The City of Leicester turned blue in support of their team, headlines were made and the eyes of the footballing world turned to the new Barclays Premier League Champions, Leicester City Football Club. 

Now the Foxes and official kit supplier PUMA are pleased to unveil the 2016/17 home kit the team will compete in as they look to defend their Premier League title. 

For the first time in the Club’s history the Leicester City home shirt will sport the iconic gold Premier League embellishment, reserved for the champions and worn with pride by the team each time they take to the pitch. 

The sleek contemporary style brings a bold and geometric design to the body and sleeves to create an eye-catching statement, while boasting a traditional yet stylised collar. 

The textured form stripe and contrasting piping featured on the shirt and shorts gives a subtle flash of gold to showcase Leicester’s champion status. 

Leicester City captain Wes Morgan said of the new kit: “Yet again it’s a fantastic kit. They’ve used great colours, the material is fantastic and it really breathes, which is what you need when you’re out there on the pitch. I like the trim and the little subtle touches – it all adds to a fantastic shirt. 

"It’s always great to see the fans wearing Leicester shirts. When you’re on the pitch and you look in the stands you see a big wave of blue shirts. It gives us a great feeling and it’s like having a 12th man." 

The 2016/17 campaign draws on the Foxes’ fearless attitude which has delivered great success for the Club over the past two seasons. 

Now is the time for Leicester City to show the world the fearless philosophy the players, staff and fans live by. 

From Football League Championship title winners and promotion to the Premier League, to the ‘greatest escape’ during the 2014/15 season, through to winning the biggest league in world football this week. We were fearless then, fearless now and will forever be fearless.

Leicester City’s 2016/17 home kit will be available to purchase from the City Fanstore at King Power Stadium from 9am on Friday 6 May, with the kit available to purchase from from 4 June, 2016. There will be further deliveries of the kit in May and June, to meet demand.. 

Prices for the adult shirt start at £50 and kids shirts start at £35.
