- Development Squad defender Josh Knight signs a new deal to 2021
- The 21-year-old has been at Leicester City Football Club since the age of eight
- Last month he was voted December’s PL2 Player of the Month
- Knight will join Peterborough United on loan until the end of the season
The 21-year-old joined City’s Academy at the age of eight and has progressed through the ranks to become a key member of the Club’s Development Squad.
The imposing centre-half has impressed in Premier League 2 this season winning December’s Player of the Month award – an honour he was also nominated for in November after a fine run of form.
Knight made his debut for Leicester City’s First Team in a 4-1 win over Sheffield United in the Carabao Cup in August 2017 and was part of City’s Under-21s group that won the Hong Kong Soccer Sevens tournament that same year.
He will now continue his development with League 1 side Peterborough United, who take on Plymouth Argyle at London Road on Saturday.
