The Foxes have been in training at Belvoir Drive this week preparing for a mouth-watering encounter with Pep Guardiola’s leaders, who have won 12 consecutive top flight matches.

With just two games to go, Leicester can still secure a top-seven berth, while Manchester City know a 100 per cent record will secure a second successive English title.

Rodgers, speaking to the national media on Thursday morning, revealed that his Foxes squad are in fine health ahead of the Etihad Stadium showdown.

At present, only Ghana international Daniel Amartey is absent for City following an ankle injury which he sustained back in late October.

What was pleasing that over the course of the last few games, we played in one game with 10 men and in another game against 10 men.

“Not at this moment in time,” the 46-year-old said, when asked for news of any new injuries. “There’s a few days to go but, at this moment, everyone is okay.”

Following last Sunday’s excellent 3-0 triumph over Arsenal, Rodgers also discussed the confidence on show from Leicester’s young squad over the past two months.

City have collected 16 points from eight matches under the Northern Irishman’s guidance – and Rodgers says the relationship between training and performances is pleasing.

“I was very pleased for the players, they showed very good control in the game [against Arsenal]. They played with a good intensity,” he added.

Goals: Leicester City 3 Arsenal 0

Leicester City were in fearsome form as they secured a fantastic 3-0 victory over Arsenal at King Power Stadium.

“What was pleasing that over the course of the last few games, we played in one game with 10 men and in another game against 10 men.

“We showed quality and coped with that very well. You’ve seen lots of results where it can go against you, but I thought the control and intensity of the game was very good.

“It’s always satisfying as a coach. To see a relationship between training and the game is always nice.”
