Leicester City return to Premier League action later this week, taking on Chris Wilder’s side at King Power Stadium.
City are looking to bounce back from the 4-1 away defeat suffered at AFC Bournemouth on Sunday evening, while United beat Chelsea 3-0 at Bramall Lane.
Rodgers' side, currently sitting fourth in the top-flight table, could once again be without Chilwell (foot) and Maddison (hip) for the fixture.
Both players sat out the games against Bournemouth and Arsenal, while Maddison also missed Leicester's victory over Crystal Palace.
Marc Albrighton
City winger Albrighton was forced off in the 16th minute at Bournemouth on 12 July.
“We’re obviously still assessing Ben [Chilwell] and James [Maddison] game by game so we’ll leave it to the last moment to see how they go but [there are] questions marks," Rodgers said in his virtual pre-match press conference with the media on Tuesday afternoon.
“We’re seeing how they respond on a daily basis. It’s safe to say they’ll be doubts for Thursday, but before every game we like to give them every chance possible.”
Winger Albrighton is also set to be assessed ahead of the clash against the Yorkshire club after being forced off in the 16th minute on Sunday. Centre-back Çağlar Söyüncü, meanwhile, is now suspended for the rest of the campaign after his sending off in the game.
Rodgers continued: “Marc [Albrighton] picked up a knock so we’ll see how he is tomorrow and obviously we’re without Çağlar [Söyüncü], which is a big blow for us.
There’s always pressure, it’s dealing with that, it’s about keeping the consistency, we’ve been up and down in too many of the games.
Brendan Rodgers
“But we’ll adjust and adapt and prepare a team to get a result on Thursday.”
With three games remaining, the Northern Irishman wants his side to get back to the consistent level shown during the first half of the season.
“There’s always pressure, it’s dealing with that,” Rodgers added. “It’s about keeping the consistency, we’ve been up and down in too many of the games.
“We’ve got to stay calm, that’s very important. You can only concentrate on the next game.”
