Talented young Leicester City midfielder Callum Wright has joined League 1 side Cheltenham Town on a season-long loan deal, subject to approval from the Football League.

The 21-year-old has caught the eye with some impressive displays from the centre of the park as captain of Leicester City’s Development Squad since his arrival from Blackburn Rovers in 2018.
Those performances continued in the second half of the 2020/21 campaign, which he also spent on loan with Cheltenham – scoring four times in 17 appearances and helping the Robins to promotion as League 2 champions.
Wright is now set to link up with his team-mates ahead of their League 1 opener away to Crewe Alexandra on Saturday afternoon.
