Young Foxes Stretch Unbeaten Run In Spurs Triumph
The young Foxes, who face Manchester United at Old Trafford in the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup on Thursday (7pm kick-off), headed into the encounter with Spurs after also booking their spot in the last-four of the Premier League Cup with a victory over Brighton & Hove Albion seven days earlier.
Leicester City's Under-18s
The Club's Under-18s are third in the league, into the semi-finals of the Premier League Cup and in the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup.
It's been a thoroughly enjoyable campaign for the Club's Under-18s so far in 2021/22 and that continued on Saturday, although they had to show their mettle early on in Seagrave as they fell behind to Jamie Donley's opener for the visitors from north London.
A quick-fire brace from Jack Butterfill, assisted by Ben Grist and Chris Popov respectively, got the young Foxes in front on 14 minutes, before Popov's penalty on the hour-mark and a later strike from Amani Richards secured an impressive 4-1 scoreline.
Jack Butterfill
Jack Butterfill's brace changed the complexion of the clash in Seagrave on Saturday.
Next up, a trip north to Manchester represents an opportunity to reach the semi-finals of the prestigious FA Youth Cup on Thursday, before Leicester's Under-18s head to Birmingham City's Trillion Trophy Training Centre in the U18 Premier League South on Tuesday 1 March (1pm kick-off).
City currently sit third in the league standings, two points adrift of leaders Southampton, with a game in hand.
