Foxes Youngsters Held To Reading Draw

Leicester City’s Under-18s picked up another point of the road on Saturday, drawing 1-1 with Reading at Bearwood Park Training Ground.

Looking to bounce back from the disappointment of exiting the U18 Premier League Cup at the semi-final stage in midweek and losing out to Brighton & Hove Albion in their last league fixture, Leicester, with a team showing five changes from defeat to Fulham, started brightly in Berkshire.

The visitors grabbed the advantage through Jack Butterfill’s goal shortly before the half-time interval, scoring for the second consecutive away game, netting his ninth league goal of the campaign.

That lead lasted until 13 minutes from time, when two Reading substitutes combined to restore parity. Jordan Addo-Antoine set up Kyle Daniel-Spray, who equalised, before Royals defender Zion Nditi was shown a second yellow card late on, though the hosts held out and snatched a share of the spoils.

City have now drawn three of their last four away league matches by the same scoreline and remain sixth in U18 Premier League South, on 35 points from 19 games, ahead of travelling to face Norwich City at The Lotus Training Centre on Friday (12:30pm GMT kick-off).
