Leicester City’s Under-18s returned to winning ways in impressive style on Friday afternoon, beating Norwich City Under-18s 3-0 at The Lotus Training Centre.
An inexperienced side showing four changes from the draw with Reading Under-18s travelled down to East Anglia for the U18 Premier League South clash, looking to avoid a sixth league game without success.
And they did just that, producing a scintillating away performance that got off to the best possible start when Jack Butterfill set up Logan Briggs for the opener on 11 minutes.
Butterfill found a goal of his own before the end of the first period, scoring six minutes ahead of the break to reach double figures for league strikes this campaign.
The third arrived in first-half stoppage time as defender Freddie Cook netted, set up by Jesper Kutshienza and City saw out the second half to maintain a clean sheet and put three points on the board for the first time since February.
Rising up to fifth in the standings, on 38 points from 20 matches, Leicester’s youngsters are next in action on Saturday 2 April, hosting West Ham United Under-18s at LCFC Training Ground in a 12pm BST kick-off.
