- Paul Appiah played in a dream win for Maidstone in the Emirates FA Cup
- Victor Kristiansen featured in Bologna's 2-2 draw with AC Milan
- Boubakary Soumaré's Sevilla were held to a 1-1 draw with Osasuna

It was a dream weekend for Leicester City's Academy loanee Appiah, who played his part in an eye-catching 2-1 win over Ipswich as Maidstone, members of the National League South, booked their place into the fifth round of the FA Cup. There they will meet more Sky Bet Championship opposition, in the form of either Sheffield Wednesday or Coventry City.
Lamar Reynolds broke the deadlock in the fixture before Jeremy Sarmiento brought the second tier hosts back level again, but the roof was taken off the away end at Portman Road when Sam Corne netted a unforgettable winner for the visitors, keeping their cup fairy-tale alive.

Over in Italy, Victor Kristiansen is becoming a stalwart for Bologna as they came back to collect a point against AC Milan away from home. Joshua Zirkee opened the scoring at San Siro before Ruben Loftus-Cheek scored twice to put the Rossoneri back in front, however a late penalty from Riccardo Orsolini resulted in the points being shared.
Bologna currently sit one point outside the European spaces, seventh in Serie A, as they prepare for the visit of Sassuolo at the start of February.
Boubakary Soumaré saw out the whole 90 minutes in Sevilla's 1-1 draw with Osasuna on Sunday. Sevilla, who are 16th in La Liga with 17 points, will be hoping to get back to winning ways in their next game, against Rayo Vallecano.
Elsewhere, Stoke City lost 3-1 to Sunderland in the last round of Championship fixtures, with Danish goalkeeper Daniel Iversen playing the full game as his side sit 19th in the standings, seven points above the bottom three.

Nathan Opoku, on the other hand, was a late substitute in OH Leuven's 0-0 draw with bottom-placed Kortrijk in Belgium's Jupiler Pro League, while Zach Booth was also brought into the game for FC Volendam in the Dutch Eredivisie, as they were beaten 1-0 by Fortuna Sittard.
Meanwhile, Lewis Brunt played a full game for Mansfield Town as a late Ronan Curtis penalty in added time meant they were beaten by AFC Wimbledon, but remain third in League 2 with 51 points.
