Leicester City are pleased to confirm that midfielder Dean Hammond has signed a new contract with the Club.
Dean, whose previous deal expired on Tuesday, has agreed terms on a one-year extension and will report for pre-season training with the squad next week.
Hammond’s experience, quality and game management have been valuable assets to the Foxes since his arrival from Southampton in August 2013. He made 32 appearances in his debut season as City won promotion to the top flight as Championship winners and a further 12 appearances in the Premier League last term.
A popular figure both on the terraces and in the dressing room, Dean joins Marcin Wasilewski and Jeffrey Schlupp among those to agree new contracts with City this summer, as the Club prepares for the new season in the Barclays Premier League.
