Stankevicius Makes Lithuania Switch
- The 20-year-old is a full international for Lithuania and has been part of City’s Development Squad over the past two seasons
- Stankevicius spent time on loan with League 1 side Oldham Athletic earlier this campaign
Leicester City youngster Simonas Stankevicius has joined Lithuanian side FK Žalgiris for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old striker, who progressed from the Club’s Under-18s side to the Development Squad, is a full international for Lithuania and last year played against England for his nation at Wembley.
A powerful targetman, Stankevicius enjoyed loan spells with non-league Nuneaton Town and more recently Oldham Athletic in League 1 – appearing four times for the Latics in August and September this season.
The Club would like to wish Simonas all the best in his future career.
