Albrighton scored his maiden Leicester City goal against the Blues in 2015, a match they ultimately lost 3-1, during a run of fixtures which included seven victories from nine matches.
The 2014/15 season was a challenging one for all at the Club but, since survival was secured, the Foxes have gone from strength to strength, winning the Premier League title just 12 months later.
Reflecting on that match and his own personal development over the past two seasons, Albrighton told LCFC TV: “It was my first goal for the Club and that’s always special.
Albrighton's Praise For City Mentality
Marc Albrighton says Leicester City head into Saturday's clash against Chelsea with a positive mindset.
“It put us 1-0 up as well just before half-time and that was the first time where I really looked at King Power Stadium and thought ‘wow, this is special’.
“It was rocking and it was a good place to be. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the result so on the night it was mixed emotions, but it’s something that I’ll always remember.
“I had a tough season that year, but towards the end of it, when I got given my chance, I felt that I’d taken it and I’ve not really looked back since then.
Since I’ve been here, especially in the last two years, it’s been great playing most weeks and enjoying it, getting victories and creating special memories.

“It’s been mostly ups and hopefully I can continue that.”
Albrighton joined from Aston Villa during the summer of 2014. Initially, the Tamworth-born winger struggled to cement a place in Nigel Pearson’s starting line-up.
Through hard work, dedication and perseverance, Albrighton slowly made his mark at King Power Stadium and ended his first season at the Club as a key figure for Pearson’s men.

“I remember at Villa, I was in and out quite a lot,” he added.
“Whether that was down to injuries or form or whatever, it was difficult to get a run of games going and racking up appearances was something I was finding hard to come by.
“Since I’ve been here, especially in the last two years, it’s been great playing most weeks and enjoying it, getting victories and creating special memories. I’m enjoying it that much, I just want to keep doing it.”
Albrighton says that, over the past two seasons, he has fine-tuned a fitness regime which, he believes, has helped him become a Premier League champion.
It’s always important to keep your fitness and look after your body. When you’re younger, especially for me, I felt like I could do anything.

The 27-year-old: “It’s difficult to say. Definitely injury-wise, I’ve been taking more care of my body and making sure that I’m always fit enough to step out onto the field and give myself the best possible chance to have a good game.
“It’s always important to keep your fitness and look after your body. When you’re younger, especially for me, I felt like I could do anything.
“I felt like I could play a game every day of the week and now, you get a bit older and know that you have to start looking after your body.
“I think that I’ve been professional in that sense and doing that well. Touch wood, it’s served me well.
“Since I came here, I knew I was signed for my Premier League experience.
"I was told that they were looking for that, so I think automatically, I had to turn into a person and a player with that experience and maturity.”
