Leicester City striker Islam Slimani will join Premier League side Newcastle United in a loan deal until the end of the current 2017/18 campaign.

The 29-year-old Algeria international signed for the Foxes in the summer of 2016 and has scored 13 times in 46 appearances – including four in three Carabao Cup games this season.
Slimani joined Leicester City from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon, where he scored more than 50 goals in just over three seasons, while also scoring twice for Algeria at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
He joins a Newcastle United side that sit 14th in the Premier League table following a 1-1 draw at home to Burnley on Wednesday evening.
