- Leicester City will analyse their loss to Newcastle United, according to Ricardo Pereira
- The Foxes were beaten 1-0 at King Power Stadium on Friday night
- LCFC Radio’s Extra-Time will assess the game on Monday at 6pm BST
Forward Ayoze Pérez’s first-half header proved to be enough for Rafa Benítez’s men to secure all three points from the Friday night encounter on Filbert Way.
Ricardo was honest in his assessment of the game, but says the Foxes will learn from their first loss in five Premier League outings.
“Sometimes, we lost the ball too easily,” reflected Ricardo. “It’s not normal in our team in the last pass in their half. It was unfortunate that we didn’t win or get points and we are frustrated about that.
“We want to keep the momentum at home with our fans, but we didn’t get the points. We didn’t play that well, but we have to look at what we did wrong and don’t do it again.”
City dominated the game. They registered 72 per cent possession and made 370 more passes than Newcastle, but they were left frustrated at the full-time whistle.
“We knew it would be difficult, but we didn’t find space,” added Ricardo. “They did well too, they made our jobs difficult, but I think we had to play faster with the ball and with a little bit more quality.
“It was a setback, but we now have to rest now and look back at this game to see what we did wrong and not make the same errors.”
