- Club mascot Filbert Fox to cycle 88-miles to Skegness
- Funds raised will go to The Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation
- Filbert to depart King Power Stadium at 6:30am BST on Sunday
Filbert will depart King Power Stadium at 6:30am BST and will aim to arrive in Skegness before 7pm* BST, where supporters are encouraged to cheer him on at the finish line!
The cycle is to follow on from the upcoming Ride Leicester Festival later this month, with Filbert having taken part in the event’s 6.5 km family bike ride for the past four years.
City’s popular mascot will aim to raise a minimum of £10,000 for The VS Foundation, which was renamed in November 2018 in honour of the Club’s late Chairman, Khun Vichai, who tragically lost his life in a helicopter accident.
Formerly the Foxes Foundation, the charity has raised £2M since its inception during the 2011/12 season, and is committed to giving back to the Leicestershire community by raising large sums of money for life-changing causes in the county that have a real impact on the lives of those in need.
Filbert will be supported on the day by B-buddies, Soar Valley Cycles and Ride Leicester. To donate to Filbert’s cycle ride, please click HERE.
