- Hamza Choudhury reflects on Leicester City's 1-1 draw with Aston Villa at King Power Stadium
- The result leaves their two-legged Carabao Cup Semi-Final tie evenly poised
- Choudhury says the Foxes can consider it to be a 'good result' after being behind in the game
- The 22-year-old also believes City can be confident ahead of the second leg later this month
The Foxes had to come from behind in the semi-final first leg tie, following Frédéric Guilbert's opener, with Choudhury breaking up play, allowing Jamie Vardy to find goalscorer Kelechi Iheanacho.
Choudhury was a half-time substitute for City and the 22-year-old midfielder's efforts proved to be a key influence over an improved performance by the hosts in the second period.
Reflecting on the draw, which leaves the tie evenly poised ahead of the second leg on Tuesday 28 January (7:45pm GMT kick-off), Choudhury believes it was a good result in the circumstances.
"It was important for us not to lose today going into the second leg at Villa Park and we believe we can go there and get a result as we have earlier this season," he told LCFC TV at full-time.
"As much as it’s not a bad result, I feel like a few of us are disappointed in there. We obviously want to make the most of the home leg.
"Going 1-0 down and then managing to get a draw out of it, it ends up a good result. We dominated the game to be honest.
"We made plenty of chances and sometimes you have days like this where it doesn’t fall for you, but as long as we keep playing how we want to play and dominating games, the chances will come."
Choudhury also believes it is his duty to play a prominent role in City's high-press stratagem - which he deployed to great effect in the build-up to Iheanacho's leveller.
"The manager wants us to press high, with real intensity and that’s what I try and do when I come on the pitch," he continued.
"Luckily enough, I nicked it and then it’s a great ball (from Vardy) and a really good finish by Kelly (Iheanacho).
"That’s my job in the team, to win the ball back, keep circulating it and play forward as much as possible, so when you win the ball high up and it leads to a goal, it feels good.
"We’re really confident going into any game. We can beat anyone on our day so we’re just going to concentrate on ourselves, go to Villa Park and hopefully get a result."
