- Youri Tielemans speaks of Leicester City's 'excitement' ahead of Tuesday's Carabao Cup Semi-Final second leg at Aston Villa (7:45pm kick-off)
- The Foxes were held to a 1-1 first leg draw by their Midlands rivals at King Power Stadium
- Tielemans believes Leicester must prepare both physically and mentality for the last-four encounter
- City will 'give everything' to reach their first final in 20 years, the Belgium midfielder says
City have so far overcome Newcastle United, Luton Town, Burton Albion and Everton before a 1-1 draw with Dean Smith's Villa at King Power Stadium earlier this month.
With just 90 minutes, and the potential of extra-time and penalties, standing between either Leicester or Villa and a place in the showpiece final, Tielemans admits excitement is building.
Asked how the squad feel ahead of the encounter at Villa Park, the Belgium international told LCFC TV: "Very excited! It’s a very important game for us, for the Club, and for our season as well.
"If you have the chance to go to a final, it’s very important to make sure that you are 100 per cent for that game. We are very excited. We are preparing well for the game, so we’ll see how it goes."
The Foxes enjoyed a 4-1 success at Villa Park in the Premier League in December, but Tielemans believes Tuesday's clash will be a different proposition for Brendan Rodgers' visitors.
"It will be a totally different game," he continued. "When you play a semi-final, especially now it is the second leg and it has been a draw at our house, they will be very confident.
"They play at home with their supporters so they think they can do even better than what they did at our house, so it will be a very interesting game.
"We had a couple of chances in the first game and, in those kinds of games, especially a semi-final and maybe a final later, it’s all about making the most of the chances you get.
"You've got to stay calm in front of the goal and score the goals when you have to, so that’s the most important thing."
In the days leading up to the tie, Tielemans, 22, says preparing both physically and mentally will be key for Leicester as they look to seal a first final appearance in 20 years.
"It’s a semi-final, so you’re going to give everything mentally," he added. "Like you do every game, of course, you just have to play like you always do and try to build up our game.
"We'll try to do our thing, don’t think about what’s around us. We just have to take it as a normal game, but just give everything and try and win the game."
