Pep Clotet's Blues, currently 15th in the Sky Bet Championship, visit King Power Stadium after overcoming Blackburn Rovers and Coventry City in earlier rounds of the competition.
Leicester, meanwhile, have sealed victories over two second-tier outfits, Wigan Athletic and Brentford, to set up a first competitive meeting with Birmingham since 2014.
Foxes fans can tune into live and free coverage of the clash from 4:45pm on Wednesday with the Pre-Match Pint, a two-hour conversational precursor to matchday.
Host Lewis Mason will be joined in the LCFC Radio studio on Filbert Way by two Filbert Street icons, Iwan Roberts and Steve Walsh, to discuss all the biggest latest talking points.
As well as the Punny Old Game quiz, testing listeners' ability to name a starting XI of footballers with puns based on a Birmingham-themed topic, a match preview will also be provided.
Then, from 6:45pm, with just an hour to go until kick-off, full team news from both sides will be provided at the top of the one-hour build-up package on Matchday Live.
Presenter Dan Bates, commentator James Fielden and ex-City defender Matt Elliott will also be positioned in King Power Stadium's pressbox to talk you through all the action.
Following the game, meanwhile, an hour of reflection will also be available, completely for free, on LCFC Radio, with interviews from inside the Foxes changing room.
