The 33-year-old striker has now scored 30 of his 101 during Rodgers' tenure at King Power Stadium and the Northern Irishman was thrilled to see him achieve yet more history with the Foxes.
"It's an incredible achievement, " he told LCFC TV. "I've said earlier that to come into the Premier League at that age and now to get over 100 goals, it's a remarkable performance level. There's many more to come from him.
"He's a pleasure to work with. He's a real catalyst for our team and you see there, right at the very end, his speed and that is very important to this team.
"I'm delighted for him and his family. It's a great achievement."
Rodgers was also pleased with the nature of Leicester's performance on Saturday as his youthful side banish the anxieties of recent results to deliver an assured performance against the Eagles.
Next up, City head to to the capital to tackle Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening (8:15pm kick-off) and their manager saw plenty of reasons to be optimistic in their display.
"We put so much into the game," he continued. "You know, this period, it's tough, but we knew we had to fight.
"We wanted to be aggressive in the game and the players adapted to that risk very, very well. We're delighted to take the three points.
"We knew we had to show quality and we were able to do that with a very good win and a good performance."
