- Brendan Rodgers reflects on Sunday's 4-2 success over Burnley at King Power Stadium
- Harvey Barnes, James Justin and Dennis Praet were among the goalscorers for Leicester City
- The Foxes sit atop of the early Premier League standings after successive wins in 2020/21
- Rodgers was delighted by the potency of City's attacking play on Filbert Way against the Clarets
Despite falling behind to an early Chris Wood goal, Harvey Barnes got the Foxes back on level terms before Timothy Castagne forced an Erik Pieters own goal after the interval.
The pressure continued from City into the second period as James Justin and Dennis Praet also added their names to the scoresheet, either side of a header from Clarets youngster Jimmy Dunne.
Leicester sit top of the Premier League standings following successive wins to start a top-flight season for the first time since 2015/16 and Rodgers was pleased with their attacking endeavours.
Asked to assess the action with LCFC TV at full-time, he said: "A very good attacking performance. [It's] still very early in the season. You can see the fitness of the players [is] not quite up to speed.
"I thought that, especially going in behind, the mentality of the team was good. We kept attacking the game, we looked really exciting going forward and it was a very good victory.
"Especially against Burnley, it's such a hard team to play against and to score four goals against. Like I say, they make it very, very difficult, for you and you spend the game having to have periods of possession.
"There are long periods, where at times you're having to pick up the second balls, defend your box... so, we did that very, very well tonight.
"We were a real threat going forward, so the creativity really pleased me and I thought it was an exciting performance."
While Rodgers admits the Foxes are not yet at full fitness after the shortest pre-season in Premier League history, the Northern Irishman has been struck by their form in front of goal.
Sunday's 4-2 triumph against Sean Dyche's men was preceded by a 3-0 success over West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns - and Rodgers hopes City can continue to add to their collective goals tally.
"I think that we are still getting up to speed from a fitness perspective," the 47-year-old continued. "But the players, you can see, keep going right to the very end.
"They showed great quality at the right moments, didn't get too disappointed [after] going behind and kept fighting right to the very end, so it was great.
"Like I said, it's a really good start, with the wins, but not only that... finding our goals this early, that's seven goals in two games so we're certainly developing in that side."
Finally, following the loan signing of Turkey international Cengiz Ünder from A.S. Roma, Rodgers said: "He's going to bring more creativity to our game.
"He's very fast, he's dynamic. He can beat people in the one vs. one, he's got a lovely left foot, but also when he's in there in tight spaces, he can make a pass.
"That will be great for the other players in the forward areas, so he's a young player as well. He's still got a lot of development, and I'm really forward to working with him."
