City have scored seven goals in two games so far this term, while the Gunners have yielded five from their 2020/21 fixtures, ahead of Wednesday's King Power Stadium encounter.
Barnes opened his account for the season with Leicester's first in a 4-2 success over Burnley on Filbert Way on Sunday and the 22-year-old is excited by the visit of Mikel Arteta's north Londoners.
"It should be very good," Barnes old LCFC TV. "You know, last year we had a few good runs so, this year, we want to try and build on that if we can and take it that little bit further.
"We'd would love to go a little bit further this year and hopefully build on that and get to the final, even go on and win it, so we're looking forward to it.
"You can see they're an attacking force with the goals that they're scoring at the minute, so it's something that we're aware of.
"But, you know, with us being in such good form as well and scoring the goals that we are, we'll be up for it and hopefully take the game to them."
Winning successive Premier League matches was a major morale boost for the Foxes, Barnes says, and they are keen to build on it over the coming weeks.
"We're very pleased with that," he continued. "We spoke before the game about how we haven't won back-to-back games in a very long time.
"We knew it was important to go out there [and win]. We obviously wanted to put in a good performance, but the main thing was getting the three points, which we did.
"I'm very pleased to get off the mark for the season. I actually ended up on the right-hand side, so it's a bit different.
"But when you're in the box, it's [about] just trying to find a bit of space, and then when you finish, just find that little bit of composure and thankfully it went in.
"We work on it in training a lot - working together. Putting it into practice in the game and getting the goals that we are at the minute, it's very pleasing for all of us.
"Every time we go forward, we look like we'll either create or score a goal, so long may that continue for us. Hopefully, we can keep this form going."
