Leicester City will discover their UEFA Europa League group stage opponents on Friday afternoon - and here’s all you need to know ahead of the draw.

Covered live on Matchday Minus Two from midday, the draw will reveal who City will be matched up against during their 2020/21 group stage fixtures.

When and where does the draw take place?

The draw will be conducted at approximately 12pm on Friday 2 October following the conclusion of all of the third round qualifying fixtures on Thursday evening. It will be hosted at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.

Who is involved in the draw?

There will be 48 teams in the draw. Eighteen of those, including Leicester City, have gained automatic entry and 21 will join as play-off round winners.

There will be a further six teams entering after being eliminated from the UEFA Champions League play-off round, and three entering after being knocked out of the Champions League third qualifying round.

How does it all work?

All 48 teams will be split into four seeing pots determined by coefficient rankings, and each group will contain one club from each tier.

Leicester City rank 40th overall amongst UEFA’s coefficient club rankings with 22.000 points.  

When do the fixtures take place?

City’s first UEFA Europa League group stage match is scheduled to take place on Thursday 22 October, before fixtures follow on Thursday 29 October, Thursday 5 November, Thursday 26 November, Thursday 3 December and Thursday 10 December.
