- Tottenham Hotspur host Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday (2:15pm kick-off)
- Spurs sit two places and one point above the Foxes in the Premier League
- Brendan Rodgers and Marc Albrighton have looked ahead to the fixture in the media
- Tottenham manager José Mourinho and defender Ben Davies also previewed the encounter
Separated by just a solitary point in the current standings, both City and Spurs have gathered admirers for their playing styles this term and they will come head-to-head at 2:15pm on Sunday.
Ahead of that clash, Brendan Rodgers and José Mourinho staged pre-match press conferences on Friday, while Marc Albrighton and Ben Davies also sat down with in-house club channels...
Speaking to the national media, Brendan Rodgers discussed getting back to form on Sunday: "We’ve seen over the course of all the teams that inconsistencies are there. Most teams’ home records are not as good as before. The lack of a crowd and lack of intensity... I can sense that for us. And then there are injuries. It’s having that ability when you do lose to bounce back. We’ve lost, but then can we go on a run of wins?"
José Mourinho highlights one particular threat in Leicester's squad: "He (Jamie Vardy) is so, so dangerous. He is incredible. I just feel sorry for him in the sense of he arrived in the Premier League too late. He should arrive a few years before and his career would be even longer, with more goals, more history at the national team too. He's a fantastic player. If I was a defender I wouldn’t be happy to play against him because he is very dangerous."
In conversation with LCFC TV, Marc Albrighton previews the clash: "It's a game we're looking forward to. Obviously, it's always a big contest between us and them. There's always a little bit of an extra battle going on after the 2015/16 season. It's a good one to go into and, obviously, we're looking to put the other night's result to the back of our minds and get back on a positive track."
Defender Ben Davies, speaking to tottenhamhotspur.com: "We put a lot of effort into the game (vs. Liverpool) but, unfortunately, it didn’t go our way. It’s tough to take but it’s a long season and we’ve a long time to get it right. Everyone is disappointed, but we’re a mature enough group now to know what is needed in the next game. Leicester will be another challenge. They’ve had a great start to the season, full of quality, top manager... another tough one."
