Leicester City in the Community has created a new overview video to spread hope and optimism throughout 2021 in response to the ongoing COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.

- Leicester City in the Community releases brand-new overview video
- It sets the scene going forward throughout the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic
- Leicester City in the Community showcases new, adapted ways of delivering assistance and support while highlighting hope for 2021
- The track was created by local spoken word artist Michael Markham and produced by Tom Dawson

Michael Markham, better known as Rhythmical Mike, has once more offered his talents for the backing track, following his involvement in Leicester City in the Community’s rebrand in 2019.

The track details a story of Leicester City battling back from a seemingly unassailable position to secure an iconic victory, while linking to hope, determination and optimism for the year ahead.

Regardless of circumstances, the Football Club’s charitable arm will endeavour to work with the people of Leicester, while following Government guidance, to support the community’s needs.

Leicester City in the Community Head of Community, Allison Tripney, said: “There’s no doubt that the last 10 months have presented challenges for everyone.

“Our team at Leicester City in the Community have prioritised staff and participant wellbeing and have adapted our support and interventions wherever possible.

“Our values underpin every aspect of our work and our agile, creative, caring team have really demonstrated togetherness throughout the pandemic.

“As we all acknowledge, it’s far from over but our brilliant footage, accompanied by Mikey’s powerful words, demonstrate how we can work together and move forward with hope.”

Earlier this month, meanwhile, Leicester City in the Community launched their #WeAreLeicester virtual and remote initiative to engage with participants.
