The Foxes, who defeated SC Braga, AEK Athens and Zorya Luhansk on their way to winning Group G, will host Jindřich Trpišovský's men in Leicester later this week following a goalless draw at Sinobo Stadium.
Ahead of that encounter, City beat Aston Villa 2-1 away from home on Sunday, while Oscar Dorley's effort for Slavia Prague was enough to seal a 1-1 draw away to Teplice in the Czech First League.
The squad
Slavia Prague - nicknamed Červenobílí - added several new faces to their first team squad in the summer following a sixth Czech First League title in their native Czech Republic at the end of the 2019/20 campaign.
Three players, namely Ondřej Karafiát, Michal Beran and Tomáš Malinský, were secured from Slovan Liberec in either free transfers or undisclosed deals.
Elsewhere, Senegalese forward Abdallah Sima was signed from Thonon Évian, while Mohamed Tijani (Vysočina Jihlava), Ondřej Lingr (MFK Karviná) and Alexander Bah (SønderjyskE), a one-time Denmark team-mate of Kasper Schmeichel, also signed on at Sinobo Stadium.
Loans signings were also secured for Taras Kacharaba (Liberec) and Simon Deli (Club Brugge).
The most notable outgoing, on the other hand, saw Czech Republic international Tomáš Souček head to West Ham United, where he has impressed many in David Moyes' high-flying Hammers outfit.
Slavia have been incredibly impressive domestically and currently sit top of the Czech First League and are yet to suffer a league defeat.
Fourteen goals from summer signing Sima have been useful for Jindřich Trpišovský's side, as well as 13 from Kuchta and 10 successes in front of goal by Peter Olayinka - a Nigeria colleague of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho.
Goalkeeper Ondřej Kolář is their top appearance-maker in 2020/21, starring on 27 occasions in all competitions, three more than Olayinka, Jan Bořil, Lukáš Masopust and Ibrahim Traoré, all on 24.
Unsurprisingly, Sima also tops the goalscoring charts in the Europa League, netting three of Slavia's 11 goals in the competition so far. Nicolae Stanciu, on the other hand, was a Belgian title winner with Youri Tielemans at Anderlecht in 2016/17.
Bořil and Masopust, meanwhile, were in the Czech side that defeated England 2-1 at Sinobo Stadium in a UEFA EURO 2020 qualifier on 11 October, 2019.
The manager
Jindřich Trpišovský has been in post as Slavia Prague's manager since 2017. Although his side finished as runners-up in the Czech First League at the end of his maiden campaign at Sinobo Stadium, after replacing Jaroslav Šilhavý, success has followed for Trpišovský in Prague.
Successive league titles have earned Trpišovský acclaim among the club's supporters and, in 2019, he was also named as the Czech Coach of the Year.
Under the 44-year-old's guidance, Slavia have enjoyed a 67.1 per cent win ratio in all competitions, securing 98 victories in 146 games, with an overall goal difference of +194. His expertise has also enabled Slavia to sit eight points above city rivals Sparta at the summit this season, winning 16 of their 20 league games.
Form guide
Slavia Prague's domestic form has been imperious in 2020/21. At present, Jindřich Trpišovský's side are yet to suffer a defeat in the Czech First League, while they also tasted success in the third round of the Czech Cup, overcoming Dukla Prague 4-1 at Sinobo Stadium in January.
However, they missed out on qualification for the UEFA Champions League in the summer as they were defeated by Danish outfit Midtjylland over two legs in the play-offs to join European football's platinum club competition.
Last season, they were more fortunate in the play-offs. However, their luck ended there with the group stage draw pitting them against Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan, eventually leading to a fourth-placed finish in their pool.
In 2020/21, their European exploits have been more enjoyable, finishing above Hapoel Beer-Sheva and Nice to qualify for the last-32 stage of the Europa League. Slavia also took maximum points from their home games during the autumn – against Leverkusen (1-0), Nice (3-2) and Hapoel (3-0).
Previous encounters
Leicester City's 0-0 draw with Slavia Prague in the Czech capital on 18 February, 2021 proved to be the first ever meeting between the two sides.
Manager Brendan Rodgers, though, had faced Slavia before, in a pre-season friendly as manager of Celtic in 2017, in a game which ended goalless at Sinobo Stadium. The campaign ended with the Bhoys lifting the Scottish Premiership, League Cup and Scottish Cup.
Slavia's last encounter with an English opponent before the first leg clash in Prague came in 2019 as they gave Chelsea a big fright in the Europa League Quarter-Finals, losing out 5-3 on aggregate. Tomáš Souček and Petr Ševčík were among the goals in a 4-3 reverse at Stamford Bridge.
The trophy cabinet
Slavia Prague - originally called Akademický cyklistický odbor Slavia, have been crowned as Czech First League champions on six occasions (1996, 2008, 2009, 2017, 2019 and 2020).
They have also won a further 10 league titles which are not counted by the Czech FA and been second tier winners on 13 occasions across their 129-year history. Five Czech Cup wins (1997, 1999, 2002, 2018 and 2019) are joined by another three Czechoslovak Cup triumphs (1941, 1942 and 1974).
In the UEFA Cup/Europa League, on the other hand, Slavia's best performance was in 1995/96, as they reached the semi-finals - beating Sturm, Freiburg, Lugano, Lens and Roma, before defeat by Bordeaux in the last-four stage.
The stadium
Sinobo Stadium, opened in 2008, is the largest football venue in the Czech Republic with a capacity of 19,370 seats.
Twelve international fixtures have been staged at the home of Slavia Prague since it was built (eight competitive and four friendlies), culminating in the Czech Republic's surprise 2-1 success over England in October 2019.
Artists including Metallica, P!nk, Bruce Springsteen, Coldplay and Bon Jovi have performed gigs at Sinobo Stadium, too, while gymnastics and rugby matches have also been held there. The stadium is located in the Vršovice district of Prague, to the east of the iconic Vyšehrad fort, on the bank of the Vltava River.
The fixtures
Following an away draw against Teplice at Na Stínadlech on Sunday, Slavia head to third-placed Slovácko on Sunday 28 February (3:30pm kick-off) after facing the Foxes on Filbert Way.
