- Crystal Palace Women are the visitors to Farley Way Stadium for Sunday's rearranged FA Women's Championship fixture (2pm kick-off)
- LCFC Women occupy top spot going into the encounter with the Eagles, sitting ahead of second-placed Durham on goal difference
- Manager Jonathan Morgan spoke to the media on Friday morning in his pre-match press conference
- He is targeting another three points, but he knows it will be a difficult clash against an in-form team
City currently sit atop of the FA Women's Championship standings, ahead of Durham on goal difference, and will make the trip to Maiden Castle Sports Park to tackle the Wildcats on Sunday 14 March (12pm kick-off).
All attention is now on the weekend's fixture against the Eagles, however, in order to continue the Foxes' impressive run of seven consecutive league wins, stretching back to November 2020.
“We’re looking strong," Morgan said in his pre-match press conference on Friday morning. "We’ve got one more training session before the game and we just want to tweak some final tactics to make sure that we're ready for Palace.
“We have a clean bill of health and we’re focused on playing Palace and, most importantly, picking up those three points. We’re going to play exactly the same way we always play.
"We’ve got seven games to go, we want to target seven wins, we want to target that promotion spot now. Obviously it's between us and Durham and there's no real room for error to slip up anymore.
"There shouldn't be a reason why we can't close it out but at the same time, we’re target no.1 now in the league because we do occupy that joint top spot.
"Teams are going to have the team talk of 'let's go and stop them from winning it' and that's what is going to happen for those next seven games."
Morgan also spoke about the tactical elements underpinning the plan to thwart an in-form Palace side who beat bottom club London Bees 5-0 in their last fixture.
The Foxes have come out on top twice in previous meetings this term, winning in both league and cup, but he knows that this will count for little come Sunday.
Morgan explained: “We know Palace are a very strong counter-attacking side, they've got some good players, Bianca Baptiste is in great form. Dean Davenport is getting them playing some fantastic football at the minute.
"We're very much aware of that threat. We hope that our in-possession game will be the difference."
Assessing the campaign as a whole, Morgan is pleased with the way the squad have so far adapted to being 'the team to beat' in the division and maintain a high level of performance whichever competition they have competed in.
“We are professionalising," the LCFC Women's manager added. "The Club has been fantastic in our transition into the set-up and that's been showing with the results on the pitch.
"Not just in the Championship, but when we’ve played Women's Super League teams as well, we've been very competitive. We are going in the right direction, there's no two ways about it.
"I think if we go back over the course of the whole season, the beginning of the year was a massive transition, we brought in a lot of players and you could see that we weren't quite gelling.
"And then all of a sudden we went on that 10-game unbeaten run. We've played some fantastic football in that time. We've had a lot of plaudits, it's about holding our nerve and making sure the girls remain focused and switched on for the task in hand.
"They understand that every team is going to come and play above their best, play 100 per cent. They are going to want to be the team that takes that scalp.
"All we can do is work hard in training, stay focused and put in the effort and the graft. I do feel positive that if the girls continue doing that, like they have all season, we should be able to have a successful end to the year."
