- Leicester City welcome Sheffield United to King Power Stadium on Sunday (2pm GMT kick-off)
- In-form striker Kelechi Iheanacho has previewed the encounter with LCFC TV this week
- The Nigeria international believes the squad has benefited from an extended gap between games
- Iheanacho also discusses his uptick in goalscoring form over recent weeks for City
City have enjoyed an eight-day break between the two fixtures after spending much of the season so far adapting to two or even three matchdays a week as the Club competed on several fronts.
Sunday's clash with the Blades represents the starting point of a 10-game run-in until the end of the 2020/21 campaign and Iheanacho - who has scored in two consecutive Premier League games for the Foxes - says the squad is feeling refreshed.
"Everyone likes it, it will give everyone time to recover and reset and be ready for the game," the Nigeria international told LCFC TV. "It’s been a tough season with two games every single week.
"It’s not been easy, but of course, we need to be professional, we need to work, but it’s really good that we have this week to recover and get ready for the game. We are really getting ready for the game."
Iheanacho has taken his overall 2020/21 tally up to seven goals in recent weeks with two excellent efforts against Burnley and Brighton. While the 24-year-old's effort at Turf Moor was a sublime volley, on the turn, his attempt at AMEX Stadium completed a flowing team move.
Reflecting on his fine form for City, he added: "I’m happy and I’m confident, even if I don’t score. I’m really happy with the goals and hopefully they will keep coming.
"It’s got to be the volley!" he answered, when asked for his favourite strike. "The pass was great from Wilf [Ndidi] and the little run from Jamie [Vardy] created the space.
"It looks like Jamie’s goal at West Brom! I’m really happy about that, it was a great finish, but I love my goal against Brighton as well."
His finish at Brighton, meanwhile, came about following a magnificent no-look assist by midfielder Youri Tielemans and Iheanacho was quick to tip his hat to his Foxes colleague.
"Both passes were great," he continued. "Wilf is a great passer of the ball. I know him and I played with him from the Under-17s team with Nigeria, so he’s a very good passer. That pass from Youri is something else!
"If you watch the replay and how the ball is rolling on the floor, the pass is a world-class pass."
