- Leicester City have a chance to bounce back from their loss to Manchester City when they face West Ham United, says Ayoze Pérez
- The Spaniard says the Foxes will put Saturday’s reverse quickly behind them
- He played 90 minutes in the clash with Man City at King Power Stadium
Strikes from Benjamin Mendy and Gabriel Jesus in the second period saw Leicester’s 30th Premier League outing of 2020/21 end in defeat.
However, Pérez says the Foxes are already looking forward their next match, as they travel to the capital to take on an in-form West Ham side.
“I felt very good out there,” he reflected. “It feels really nice to get another 90 minutes after a while. But the most important thing, at the end of the day, is the team and trying to help the team.
“Today, it wasn’t our day in terms of the result at the end, but we are focused now on the next game. We cannot stay disappointed on this.
“We’ve got another big game next weekend. It’s not long now until the end. We know how tough it is, how tight the table is.
“Now, we’ve got a very important game, a very good chance to bounce back and get the three points.”
Reflecting on City’s reverse to the Citizens, Pérez felt his side were defensively sturdy in stages, but were punished on two occasions and ultimately that cost them the game.
“Obviously, it could have been a different game, but we cannot talk about what it could have been,” he added.
“We still stuck to the game plan, we know they are a very strong team and they’re in good form.
“We were in a great position, 0-0 after 50 minutes or so, so we knew we're going to have chances, but then little details made the difference.”
