- Leicester City host West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Thursday (8pm kick-off)
- The Foxes remain in the top four and recently reached the final of the Emirates FA Cup
- Dennis Praet says City are looking to transfer their FA Cup performances into the Premier League
- The visit of Sam Allardyce's Baggies will be a 'tough, physical' encounter, says the Belgian
Next month, the Foxes will compete with Chelsea in the Club's first FA Cup Final since 1969 after beating Southampton at Wembley Stadium in the last-four stage on Sunday.
Before then, however, City have five of their remaining seven Premier League fixtures, starting on Thursday with the visit of West Bromwich Albion to King Power Stadium (8pm kick-off).
Reflecting on that memorable day in the capital on Sunday, Praet told LCFC TV this week: "It was a very nice day. It’s been very long since we reached the final, so we worked hard together to reach the final and it was a wonderful day.
"Everybody was, of course, very, very happy. We’d lost some points in the Premier League, but that’s the reaction we needed to have and I think we did that very well.
"We had a very solid game, so I think we deserved the win, so now it’s one more step to reach our real goal. Of course, the final will be even harder, but it’s really nice to be able to be there and we’ll do our best to try to get something there."
Transferring the qualities which were on show at Wembley into their performances in the Premier League is now the objective for Leicester, says Praet, who is keen to play his own role in helping the Club achieve its objectives on two fronts this springtime.
"We have to continue with the game we had against Southampton," he added. "It was the way we need to play and we should get some points, absolutely, because it’s very tight.
"We concentrate on ourselves. That’s the most important thing because everything is in our hands. Of course, you follow the other results to know how the standings are, but the main thing is ourselves, and we try to only watch ourselves.
"We know what we want, so all the last games will all be very important, starting with the first one against West Brom. They are fighting for something as well.
"They are in good shape. They had some good results, so it will be very tough. It’s a tough, physical team, so we have to be at our best to get the points, but we have a lot of belief."
Praet has recently returned from a lengthy injury lay-off which saw him miss much of City's action in 2021, but now the Belgian international is fully fit, he's keen to contribute.
"It’s always very hard, of course," he explained. "When you get the news that you’re out for two or three months, that’s always tough to hear. It’s always tough to watch the team play without you, but they were doing well and had good results, so I was really pleased with that, of course.
"You always think about the team and that’s the most important thing. Now I’m getting back up to shape and I hope I can still help the team in the last month. All of the games that are left for us now are all very, very important. We’ll need the whole squad and we all try to contribute to the main goal."
