The Foxes head into the fixture on the back of a 1-1 draw with Southampton at St. Mary's Stadium - a stalemate which was preceded by consecutive wins over West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace - while the Magpies were beaten 2-0 by Arsenal at St. James' Park last time out.

What's the injury news?
"It’s a catch-22 with James [Maddison] because he needs the games to get up to full speed, but at the same time they’re important games for us," Brendan Rodgers said on Wednesday afternoon. "He’s a really important player for us. He’s gradually working his way towards that.
"The 90 minutes was important for him, he’s had a good week’s training this week and then he will look to take that into the next game. He’s an outstanding player. He’s not at his full level of fitness yet but the only way you get that is in games, so it’s another week for him.
"Hopefully he can perform at his highest level against Newcastle."
What happened last time?
Ricardo Pereira, Jamie Vardy (2) and Wilfred Ndidi were all on the scoresheet, alongside a Paul Dummett own goal, as the Foxes ran out as 5-0 victors over Newcastle United in the last meeting at King Power Stadium - the Club's joint-biggest Premier League home win.
More recently, the Foxes have secured back-to-back away wins over the Magpies, with Ayoze Pérez, James Maddison and Hamza Choudhury striking at St. James' Park last January, before Maddison struck again and Youri Tielemans found the net in a 2-1 victory four months ago.
When can I catch match highlights?
A two-minute highlights package will be available for supporters to access on LCFC TV approximately two hours after full-time, which is available for free to Digital Members on the Club's official website (free sign-up).
A full highlights video will be published on LCFC.com at midnight following the fixture and Leicester City's official social media channels will post short clips from the night's action.
Please note that in the interests of safety, Leicester City’s fixtures will continue to be played behind closed doors. To ensure matches can still go ahead and to help control the spread of COVID-19, the Football Club kindly asks its supporters to continue to follow their team from home and not to gather at any stadia.
All times BST unless stated otherwise.
