- Youri Tielemans speaks to LCFC TV after Leicester City's 2-1 win at Manchester United
- Luke Thomas and Çağlar Söyüncü netted for the Foxes at Old Trafford
- That victory was City's first success at Old Trafford since 1998
- Tielemans says all focus is now on the Emirates FA Cup Final against Chelsea
The Belgian's cross enabled Luke Thomas to score a stunning opener in the 2-1 success over Manchester United on Tuesday, however Mason Greenwood levelled matters at the Theatre of Dreams. Çağlar Söyüncü, though, settled the clash with a crashing header on 66 minutes.
After securing the Club's first win at Old Trafford since 1998, Tielemans highlighted the quality of City's performance: "It's a big win, a big performance. I think we played well early on, had a good combination for the goal and then [we were] a bit sloppy for five-10 minutes.
"You don't want to be sloppy against these teams because they punish you straightaway. They scored. But then I think we kept our heads cool and got back into the game and defended well.
"We scored a brilliant goal on a corner kick which was very important and then tried to keep the lines tight and don't let them score again, which was good.
"It means a lot. Winning in the Premier League means a lot, but at Old Trafford, it’s historically very nice for the Club, for the team as well, because we know that it was a very important win. We had to win today to keep our goals going and it was very important.
"We have two games left now, so we have to finish the job. [They’re] two very important games."
Tielemans was also particularly pleased to see Thomas open his Premier League account in such extraordinary fashion - which the 24-year-old believes is a reward for the Academy graduate's hard work.
Asked if Thomas regularly scores goals like that in training, he joked: "Not at all! He gets them all wrong! No, honestly, it's very important for him because I think he's developed very well this season. He's improved a lot in his playing style, and the wingback style suits him a lot I think.
"He can get into the box and, today, finished it brilliantly, so I think he can get in there even more but yes, what a good finish."
Next up for the Foxes is a first Emirates FA Cup Final in 52 years against Chelsea at Wembley Stadium. Tielemans, meanwhile, says it could benefit the Foxes going into that showpiece occasion on the back of such a morale-boosting triumph in the league.
"We have a cup final to prepare for now," he added. "It's going to be a very, very interesting end of the season and a very interesting three games.
"It gives a boost for our confidence, of course, because if you win against a good team, you get some confidence for the game and you can prepare peacefully let's say, so let's enjoy it and then we'll start for Saturday.
"It will be like the whole season, all about recovery and preparing tactically for the game. Nothing that we’ve not done before."
