Soumaré, 22, joined City from French champions Lille over the summer and, alongside fellow recent recruits Patson Daka and Ryan Bertrand, the young central midfielder has been in training alongside his new team-mates at LCFC Training Ground over the past week.
Speaking to LCFC TV at the Club's stunning headquarters in Seagrave, the France Under-21s star described the warm welcome he has received – in particular from international colleague Wesley Fofana.
"He is a great person," the former Paris Saint-Germain youth product said. "He helps me both on and off the pitch. We get on very well. I feel good, I feel good. I’ve been welcomed by everyone at the Club – the staff, the coaches, my team-mates. It’s all going well so far."
"Everyone has made an effort to help settle me in as quickly as possible. I understand a little bit of English, but speaking is difficult, so people have made a real effort to make sure I’m okay."
Soumaré has been impressed by the range of facilities on offer in north Leicestershire, too, while the intense nature of pre-season training has already struck the 22-year-old.
On his first impressions of LCFC Training Ground, he continued: "It’s the first time I’ve seen a training ground this big. It all looks so new. It’s incredible and it’s the best place to train and progress.
"The difference [in training] is really just the intensity – it’s more intense over here. But that’s part of adapting to the game over here. It’s a little more of a challenge for me as there’s the language barrier, getting to know my new team-mates, a new club, but it will all be fine."
The Club's new midfielder is now ready to represent the Foxes in the Premier League and anticipation is already building for his debut campaign in England.
"Yes, I’m excited," Soumaré explained. "I can’t wait to get started to help the Club and my team-mates."
