Ahead of that clash with Thomas Tuchel's men, we recall some of our favourite trips to the capital over recent years...
Shocking the Blues at Stamford Bridge
It's early on in the 2000/01 campaign and Peter Taylor is making an impression at Leicester City. The man who replaced Martin O'Neill has the Foxes battling at the top of the Premier League table, with this victory over Chelsea nudging them even further up the standings. Muzzy Izzet gets the scoring underway, heading Neil Lennon's cross beyond Carlo Cudicini, before Stan Collymore converted Steve Guppy's centre. City would be top by October.
Pearson's Leicester revolution continues
Fresh from winning the League 1 title, rescuing the Club from its lowest ebb, Nigel Pearson took his Foxes to Loftus Road in October 2009 as they looked to win a second promotion in a row. In a victory which propelled Leicester up to second in the Championship, level on points with leaders Newcastle United, Adel Taarabt initially put Rangers into the lead, before Matty Fryatt followed a close-range header with a breakaway goal in the 64th minute in the capital.
Huth's header defies Spurs
The Foxes headed to White Hart Lane in January 2016 after a three-game winless run had threatened to derail their simply stunning 2015/16 campaign to date. A fraught affair followed against Spurs, who themselves had aspirations to lift the Premier League title, but it was Robert Huth who nodded Christian Fuchs' corner past Hugo Lloris with seven minutes to go. Claudio Ranieri's Leicester City would be Premier League champions in May.
Vardy's composure at the Bridge
Another tense, one-goal game was settled in blistering fashion in December 2018. Claude Puel was the man in charge and a winter run of fine form, which also included a Boxing Day success over Manchester City, began in west London. An even contest was eventually settled by the Club's all-time top Premier League goalscorer, Jamie Vardy, fed by an inch-perfect through ball from James Maddison, as the Foxes gave the Blue Army an early Christmas present.
Ending the hoodoo at Arsenal
One place which has not been a happy hunting ground for Leicester is Arsenal. Mercifully, that all ended in October 2020 as Brendan Rodgers' Foxes secured their first away win over the Gunners since 1973. It came in nervous circumstances too, as the two sides cancelled each other out for long spells. Mikel Arteta's side had their chances, but it was left to Vardy again to register a landmark victory, getting on the end of Cengiz Ünder's cross late on.
