Leicester City's Under-18s came from behind against Reading on Saturday to win 2-1 and secure back-to-back victories in Premier League U18 South.

Following a 1-0 success over Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Elite Football Performance Centre one week earlier, the young Foxes returned to LCFC Training Ground in Seagrave for the visit of the Royals on matchday three in the 2021/22 campaign.

Kelvin Abrefa's 23rd-minute opener for the visitors, though, threatened to derail City's early optimism, but it would turn out to be a short-lived setback. Just 14 minutes later, Leicester's youngsters were level as Jack Butterfill beat Matt Rowley in the Reading goal.

It would remain level at the interval at the Club's headquarters in north Leicestershire, until a well-executed penalty from Kian Pennant secured all three points for the young Foxes four minutes into the second half. As a result, City climb to sixth in the U18 Premier League South standings on six points.

The Under-18s will next be in action on Saturday 11 September when they head to Little Heath Sports Centre to tackle West Ham United (12pm BST kick-off).
