- Kasper Schmeichel plays 90 minutes in Denmark’s 2-0 victory over Scotland in Copenhagen
- The shot-stopper’s nation maintained their 100 per cent record in Group F of 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying
- Danny Ward also earned another cap for Wales in an international friendly against Finland
The Danes had scored 14 goals without reply heading into the clash with Steve Clarke’s Scotland at Parken Stadium, located in Schmeichel’s hometown of Copenhagen.
The hosts’ talented attack yielded two goals in the space of as many minutes in the first period, with Daniel Wass and Joakim Mæhle finding the target in the opening quarter-of-an-hour.
And that proved to be enough for the Danes, who have now scored 16 goals and are yet to concede in Group F, with an encounter with Faroe Islands next up at Tórsvøllur in Tórshavn on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, fellow shot-stopper Danny Ward completed 45 minutes for Wales in their international friendly clash with Finland at Helsinki Olympic Stadium.
The City ‘keeper played the first half in the Finnish capital, before being replaced by Wayne Hennessey, as Wales drew 0-0 ahead of Sunday's 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Belarus.
In qualification Group E, Ward’s nation sit third in the table with three points from as many games, while Belgium lead the way on seven points.
