Leicester City have won two of three league matches in 2021/22 so far, a record matched by Pep Guardiola's reigning champions, but the Foxes had the upper hand when the sides met at Wembley in the FA Community Shield last month.
Ahead of Saturday's clash (3pm kick-off), here's everything you need to know...
Who's starring on LCFC TV?
Coverage begins with Matchday Live, broadcast for free on LCFC TV at 1:30pm on Saturday, and includes analysis from two Leicester City favourites – Matt Elliott and Paul Dickov – who will join presenter Dan Bates in the studio.
Over the course of the next hour and a half, there will be plenty of pre-match chat as well as several previews from both camps and the all-important team news at 2pm.
Then, at approximately 2:50pm, live and free commentary will begin on LCFC Radio, with another former Fox, Gerry Taggart, joining Chris Parrott in the press box at King Power Stadium.
Following full-time, Dickov, Elliott and Taggart will reconvene for a further 30 minutes of debate on all the day’s action – available on @LCFC social media channels - while there will also be reaction from the Foxes dressing room.
What's the officiating team?
Paul Tierney is the referee on Filbert Way this Saturday, assisted by Constantine Hatzidakis and Neil Davies, while the fourth official is Andy Madley. VAR will be overseen by Andre Marriner, alongside Richard West.

What do I need to know if I'm coming?
Supporters attending Leicester City’s Premier League fixture with Manchester City on Saturday 11 September are advised that COVID-19 certification spot checks will be in place at entry points as part of the Premier League working with DCMS to maintain full capacity crowds at football, and in line with the Club’s new Supporter Code of Conduct
To ensure the safety of everyone in attendance and to minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission, the spot checks, which are part of new Premier League protocols, will ask everyone over the age of 18 to confirm their COVID-19 status by:
- Demonstrating their COVID-19 Pass via the NHS App, PDF or NHS letter;
- Showing proof of a negative lateral flow or PCR test result from within the previous 48 hours; or
- Declaring an exemption from COVID-19 vaccinations and/or testing.
The spot check rules apply to everyone attending fixtures at King Power Stadium over the age of 18 and are in place to help supporters prepare for a future scenario where COVID certification becomes mandatory. For more information, please click HERE.
What happened last time against Man City?
Brendan Rodgers' men claimed their second piece of silverware in the space of only four months after the 2020/21 Emirates FA Cup winners beat Premier League champions Manchester City 1-0 at Wembley Stadium in August to lift their second FA Community Shield.
A defensive mix up with only three minutes of normal time remaining handed City the opportunity to win the match, as Nathan Aké tripped substitute Kelechi Iheanacho in the box and the Foxes were awarded a penalty. It was, indeed, the Nigeria frontman who would take the spot-kick, dispatching it into the corner to hand his side a late victory.
