- Çağlar Söyüncü previews Thursday's clash with Liverpool at Anfield (7:45pm GMT kick-off)
- Leicester City head to Anfield in their first Premier League away day of 2022

- City are concentrated on themselves as they prepare for the challenge, Söyüncü adds
The Foxes were knocked out of the Emirates FA Cup as holders by East Midlands neighbours Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Sunday. It was a deeply frustrating result for everyone associated with the Club and Söyüncü insists all focus is on quickly returning to form.
A 1-0 victory over Liverpool at King Power Stadium back in December is among the highlights of City's 2021/22 campaign so far, proving Leicester do have the ability to defeat Jürgen Klopp's men. City's No.4, though, says all attention is on themselves within the Foxes squad in training.
"It was highly disappointing for us and very upsetting as players," he told LCFC TV. "Being the last champion [of the FA Cup] especially, that shouldn't have been our performance. We lacked a few things and we paid the price for it. We always aim to do everything better and we should concentrate better.
"Our manager is always warning about these things and that's what we need to focus on more. As we got to the final last year, we knew how important that was and how valuable that was to us. We've lived that atmosphere and we know the fans are well aware of that.
"We let the fans down and we sincerely apologise for that. We will do our best now to go back to how we were. That's what we want."
Liverpool are unbeaten since that reverse in Leicester over Christmas – after playing Chelsea, Shrewsbury Town, Arsenal, Brentford, Crystal Palace and Cardiff City across different competitions. While admitting City can take positives from beating the Reds, Söyüncü expects a different game on Thursday.
"Of course, it's a new game," the 25-year-old added. "It's a new goal for us and we will see it as that. We will leave our defeat behind and concentrate in the best possible way and we aim to win. The atmosphere was amazing [in the last game vs. Liverpool] but is also in the past.
"As we try to forget bad experiences, we try to leave the good ones behind as well, so that we can concentrate on the future. We want to achieve in this new game and have the best possible result on Thursday. We would like to get the best result so it can have a positive impact on future games."
