Bouncing back from a narrow defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday – a first league reverse since September – the Foxes youngsters remain fifth in U18 Premier League South, moving onto 34 points from 17 matches.
There were four changes to the team that faced the Eagles, as Kelechi Chibueze, Jesper Kutshienza, Joe Wormleighton and Amani Richards came into the XI, with Arlo Doherty, Jahmari Lindsay, Zac Booth and Will Alves dropping out.
And it was one of those introduced into the side who registered an assist for the opener, with Wormleighton setting up Jack Butterfill to strike first after 32 minutes, an eighth goal of the league campaign for the 17-year-old.
Leicester held that lead until three minutes from time when Dewain Sewell managed to find the equaliser and City were forced to share the spoils.
The Foxes return to league action on Saturday, hosting Brighton & Hove Albion in a 12pm kick-off at LCFC Training Ground.
