A look at the Leicester City players featuring for their respective loan clubs across the Football League and in Scotland.

- Goalkeeper Daniel Iversen continues to impress in the Championship with Preston
- George Hirst (Portsmouth) and Callum Wright (Cheltenham) both feature in the third tier
- Josh Eppiah (Northampton), Tyrese Shade (Walsall) and Kasey McAteer (Forest Green), all play for League 2 clubs
- Vontae Daley-Campbell (Dundee) and Jakub Stolarczyk (Dunfermerline) remain in Scotland

Daniel Iversen kept a clean sheet as Preston North End triumphed 1-0 against Blackpool on Tuesday evening, maintaining his tally of featuring in all 40 of the Lilywhites’ Sky Bet Championship fixtures this season.

Cameron Archer’s goal at the end of the first half settled the Lancashire derby at Deepdale, moving Ryan Lowe’s outfit into 13th position in the table. However, he could not prevent the Lilywhites falling to defeat at relegation-threatened Derby County last Saturday.

Despite playing the majority of the second half with 10 men, the Rams came out on top at Pride Park courtesy of Ravel Morrison’s winner 10 minutes from time. Iversen did notch an individual record, making 12 saves – the most by any goalkeeper in the division this term.

The Danish shot-stopper could be in action again on Saturday, hosting play-off chasing Queens Park Rangers at Deepdale (3pm kick-off).

Daniel Iversen has been a permanent fixture in the Preston starting XI this campaign.

In League 1, meanwhile, forward George Hirst played from start to finish during Portsmouth’s goalless stalemate with Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday afternoon, starting again in the 1-1 draw against Bolton Wanderers last night (Tuesday).

The 23-year-old clocked up 85 minutes of the clash at University of Bolton Stadium, which saw Aidan O’Brien put Pompey ahead shortly after the break, ahead of Kieran Sandlier’s penalty levelling matters.

Danny Cowley’s side maintain slim hopes of reaching the play-offs, currently sitting 10th on 60 points, 12 behind sixth spot but with two games in hand.

Hirst has scored eight times in 32 league games during the season and will be aiming to add to his goal tally this weekend when Pompey face Cheltenham Town at Whaddon Road (3pm kick-off).

Callum Wright has scored three goals in his last five games for Cheltenham.

The Robins’ squad includes Callum Wright, who scored a 90th-minute goal to assist Michael Duff’s team in rescuing a draw in a thrilling match at Accrington Stanley on Saturday. Town were 4-2 down but managed to score twice in injury time to move into the top half of the table.

The midfielder, who played from start to finish at Wham Stadium, has featured in 29 league games across 2021/22, netting eight goals and providing four assists.

A consistent performer for Walsall in League 2 this term, Tyrese Shade played 90 minutes for the 10th consecutive league match on Saturday as the Saddlers fell to a 2-0 defeat to Leyton Orient at Banks’s Stadium.

Often deployed as a left-wing back, the 21-year-old has made a total of 34 league appearances, scoring twice, to help his side steer clear of the relegation zone. Current sitting 17th, the next assignment sees Michael Flynn’s side travel to tackle Rochdale at Crown Oil Arena on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

Tyrese Shade has started Walsall's last 12 League 2 matches.

Elsewhere in the fourth tier, Josh Eppiah came on as a 60th-minute substitute in Northampton Town’s latest fixture – a 1-0 defeat at Mansfield last Saturday. After Oliver Hawkins had put the hosts ahead, Town had Paul Lewis sent off and left Field Mill empty handed.

The 23-year-old striker is still waiting for his first goal for the Club, while the Cobblers remain in the play-offs as things stand, sitting fourth on 66 points from 40 matches prior to welcoming Bradford City to Sixfields on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

Forest Green Rovers netted within two minutes of Kasey McAteer’s introduction against Scunthorpe United as the league leaders took on bottom of the table at The New Lawn on Saturday.

The midfielder replaced Ben Stevenson in the 73rd minute of the contest, ahead of Dan Sweeney’s winner with a quarter of an hour to play. The youngster was then an unused substitute as Forest Green recorded their third successive 1-0 win on Tuesday night, defeating Mansfield Town.

Rovers’ next fixture, at home to Hartlepool Town, is a 3pm kick-off on Saturday, when McAteer will be hoping to make his sixth appearance for The Green, who are now seven points clear at the top of League 2.

Josh Eppiah was in action for the Cobblers against Mansfield Town.

Jake Wakeling has found opportunities more difficult to come by at League 2 strugglers Barrow, featuring four times in the league since his loan move, the last appearance coming against Hartlepool Town in early February.

The 20-year-old will be aiming to get off the mark for his adopted club should he be given a run-out at Crawley Town on Saturday (3pm kick-off) as the Bluebirds look to increase the current three-point gap between themselves and the bottom two.

Two months into his loan spell at Dundee, Vontae Daley-Campbell has made seven appearances in the Scottish Premiership and one in the Scottish Cup, though the full-back remained on the bench as his side drew 2-2 with Aberdeen at the weekend.

The 21-year-old defender, who celebrated his birthday last week, could return to action for Saturday’s Dundee derby against United at Tannadice Park (3pm kick-off) - the final fixture before the league splits in two. The Dark Blues are currently six points adrift at the bottom of the SPFL table.

Vontae Daley-Campbell came up against former Foxes teammate Calvin Bassey when Dundee faced Rangers.

Staying in Scotland, goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk began his loan spell by starting six successive games for Scottish Championship outfit Dunfermline Athletic but missed out on featuring in their last two fixtures due to his call-up into the Poland Under-21s squad.

The youthful shot-stopper, 21, may return for tonight’s clash against Raith Rovers at East End (7:45pm kick-off), with the Pars hoping to put further daylight between them and Queen of the South at the bottom of the second-tier standings. The gap currently stands at three points.

In Italy, Dennis Praet remains out of contention to feature for Torino due to injury. The 27-year-old Belgium midfielder made 17 Serie A appearances, scoring twice, ahead of a metatarsal injury which has ruled him out since February.
