- Jonny Evans nets for Northern Ireland in 2-2 draw with Cyprus
- The defender scored in the 94th minute to rescue a point
- Cyprus had led 2-0 in the Nations League match in Belfast
- Evans, 34, played the full game at Windsor Park
The Leicester City centre-back played from start to finish at Windsor Park as Ian Baraclough's side picked up their second point from four League C Group 2 games, remaining bottom of the pool, level on points with Sunday's opponents.
It was the visitors who seized the initiative when Andronikos Kakoullis found the net shortly after the half-hour mark and the forward duly doubled his and Cyprus' tally six minutes into the second half.
Paddy McNair managed to bundle home a goal with just under 20 minutes to play and set up a grandstand finish in Belfast, before Foxes defender Evans found a crucial second.
On his 98th appearance for the national team, the 34-year-old put his body on the line at the back post to meet Dion Charles' flick on and send the ball off the crossbar and over the line.
His fifth international goal, it came four minutes into added time, but was almost trumped by an even later Cyprus winner straight after the restart, though VAR cut short Dimitris Christofi's celebrations.
The international matches continue tomorrow when up to eight Foxes could be involved across various competitions and age groups. LCFC.com will have everything covered, HERE.
