- Midfielder signs for LCFC Women on a permanent basis
- The 29-year-old is an experienced Wales international
- Green joins the Foxes following six years at Tottenham Hotspur
The 29-year-old joins the Foxes with a wealth of experience having been a regular in the Barclays Women’s Super League for Spurs since their promotion as quadruple winners in the 2016/2017 season.
Green was made captain of the side in the summer of 2020 and made a total of 15 appearances for Spurs last season – scoring once and helping the team to a fifth-place finish in the WSL.
Prior to joining the North London outfit, Green progressed through the youth ranks of Watford, making her senior debut for the Hornets during the 2010/11 FA Women's National League season.
At international level, Green represents Wales. Her senior debut came at the age of just 16 as a substitute against Azerbaijan in the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifiers and she remains a regular in the senior side.
Speaking to LCFC TV, Green said: "It’s really exciting to meet the girls and join the team. It’s a really exciting club to be a part of, so I’m looking forward to it. I’m ready for a new challenge."
Green has now joined pre-season training at Belvoir Drive, linking up with her new team-mates for the first time this week.
