The young Foxes, who suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat by Tottenham Hotspur last week, were looking to get their first points on the board in 2022/23 against a side they did the double over last term. It turned into a difficult afternoon, however, against the regular U18 Premier League South challengers.
Michael Golding put the Blues ahead after just six minutes, before Brodi Hughes doubled their advantage. Leo Castledine then added a brace with a goal either side of the interval, before Chelsea's Harrison McMahon was shown a red card in the latter moments. That loss leaves City's youngsters 12th in the league table.
A trip to Lotus Training Centre, to face Norwich City Under-18s, is next up for the young Foxes on Saturday (12pm BST kick-off).
