- Leicester City donate surplus matchday food to local families
- Last weekend’s game was postponed due to the passing of The Queen
- The Club via Levy UK donated catering supplies to OLIO who redistributed the unused food
- OLIO is a mobile app for food sharing, aimed at reducing food waste
The game against Villa, along with every other Premier League fixture in match round seven, was postponed as a mark of respect to honour The Queen’s extraordinary life and contribution to the nation.
This meant surplus catering supplies at King Power Stadium were donated to OLIO, a mobile app for food sharing, who redistributed the unused food to families in the local area.
The Club has opened a book of condolence for written tributes to The Queen, which is accessible to supporters and visitors to King Power Stadium in the Foxes Fanstore and in Main Reception.
The Premier League has confirmed that City’s game against Tottenham Hotspur will go ahead this weekend, while LCFC Women host Spurs in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
