- Leicester City host Leeds United at King Power Stadium on Thursday (8:15pm kick-off)
- Jonny Evans will be absent for the Foxes with a calf injury
- Fellow defender Çağlar Söyüncü also has a knee issue which is being monitored
- James Maddison will be suspended after reaching five bookings in 2022/23
The Foxes captain has a calf issue and missed last Saturday's 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace at King Power Stadium. Alongside Evans, fellow centre-back Çağlar Söyüncü – who has not featured in the Premier League this season – is also an injury doubt with a knee complaint.
Nineteenth-placed Leicester welcome Leeds, in 15th, to Filbert Way in a 8:15pm kick-off on Thursday.
"Jonny won’t make the game," Rodgers said at LCFC Training Ground. "We’ll see how he is for the weekend. Çağs has an issue with his knee so we'll have to assess that. He’s had it since he came back from the internationals. He has had a scan on that, so we have to wait for the result of that.
"He hasn’t been where he wants to be in terms of his fitness, so we’ll see."
James Maddison, on the other hand, has also reached the yellow card threshold for a one-match suspension.
"He’s one of the leading players in the Premier League," Rodgers added. "It’s an opportunity for someone else to come in.
"He’s a creative force for us. Not only that, it’s his work-rate as well. He offers more than goals and creativity, but we have other players who have an opportunity to come in and showcase their qualities."
