- Patson Daka and Dennis Praet have trained outside this week, says Brendan Rodgers
- Leicester City take on Gillingham away in the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday (12:30pm kick-off)
- Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Boubakary Soumaré and James Maddison are unlikely to feature

Praet (side) left the field in the 3-0 reverse to Newcastle United on Boxing Day, while Daka (hamstring) was taken off during City's 1-0 loss at Liverpool last Friday. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (hip) also pulled up in the warm-up ahead of the 1-0 home defeat by Fulham on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, Boubakary Soumaré (hamstring) was withdrawn during that encounter at King Power Stadium too. Leicester take on Gillingham, currently bottom of Sky Bet League 2, in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday (12:30pm kick-off).

"[Daka] trained with the medical team this last few days and was with the group today and looked very good," Rodgers confirmed on Thursday. "We’ll see later today and tomorrow how he’s recovered. Thankfully for us and for him it doesn’t seem as bad as it did at the time.

We’re just waiting on clarification on timescales, but certainly for the weekend [Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall & Boubakary Soumaré] are not available."

"[Praet's] coming along very well. He’s mobilised his side. He did a clearing session today with the medical team. He was out on the grass and he’s doing very well. We’ll see how he is tomorrow."

Dewsbury-Hall and Soumaré, though, are not expected to be in action for City in Kent. James Maddison (knee) is also working towards making a return to Leicester's XI.

"Obviously [Dewsbury-Hall] and Bouba are highly unlikely to be available for this weekend," the manager added. "We’re just waiting on clarification on timescales, but certainly for the weekend they’re not available."

On Maddison, he said: "It slow at the moment. We have to go day by day on that. I think I’ve said that he wouldn’t be this week but we’ll see how he is for next week. We’re hopeful sooner rather than later that he’ll be back, but it certainly won't be for the weekend."
