Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall says he is 'over the moon' to be back in a Leicester City shirt after helping the Foxes overcome Walsall in the Emirates FA Cup.

Kelechi Iheanacho's 50th goal for the Club sealed safe passage into the fifth round, where Brendan Rodgers' men will face either Blackburn Rovers or Birmingham City at King Power Stadium.

That clash at Bescot Stadium also marked Dewsbury-Hall's first 90 minutes since suffering a glute injury over the festive period. The Academy graduate is thrilled to be back, though, and to have helped City through a tough assignment in Walsall.

"It's probably everything we thought we were going to get in this game," he told LCFC TV. "Look, it may look easy on paper, but these games are tough. They've got the crowd behind them and they worked so hard, it's a big game for them.

"They keep a good shape, so you have to be disciplined in these games and you have to work the ball and you have to just stay composed. I feel like we did that today. We created a lot of chances, kept a clean sheet, and we're into the next round.

I'm just over the moon to be able to get back pretty quick and I feel good to get 90 minutes.

"It feels good to get 90 minutes. I was devastated when I injured myself in the warm-up of the Fulham game. As a player, it's the worst thing to be injured, especially when you're playing games and I was really upset.

"I'm just over the moon to be able to get back pretty quick and I feel good to get 90 minutes. That was always the plan and I'm hoping that I can kick on because we've got a lot of important games coming up."

Dewsbury-Hall was pleased, too, to see Iheanacho net once again in the FA Cup. His 17th goal from 23 appearances in the competition was the difference, just as it was in the third round at Gillingham.

"His record in this competition is fantastic," KDH added. "Every time he seems to have a shot in this competition, it goes in, so when he came on, I'm really happy he managed to score. We had more chances, especially in the second half.

"I feel like we're a lot more dominant and created a lot of chances, so that's positive."

Another player to be back for Leicester is No.10 James Maddison, who had previously been absent since before the FIFA World Cup. With a crucial run-in to come, Dewsbury-Hall says City's England international will be key.

"It's just a massive boost," he explained. "Everybody knows how good he is. I love playing with him and we were together in the physio room going through our rehab together and we were just motivating each other to try and get back as quick as possible because we love playing with each other.

"We're great friends off and on the pitch and everybody respects him because of his quality. To have him back is going to be a big, big positive."
